Croatia
Medieval hill-top towns, olive tree valleys, and windy coastal roads: the journey from Novigrad to Senj. Hugged by the Adriatic coast, the drive from northern to central Croatia is filled with unexpected landscapes and attractions. Perched atop a hill, a defensive medieval city stood undisturbed by tourists and frantic visitors, eager for a cliche Instagram picture. Instead, we had the opportunity to walk the cobblestone streets in solitude, greeted only by friendly locals and the sound of thunder as a storm stirred in the distance. Senj, a coastal town, is home to a unique, windy climate. Right before sunrise a phenomenon occurs: The salt-heavy soil and deep blues of the Adriatic water twists your reality by transporting you to what looks like the arctic.
